{"id":1312,"date":"2019-01-15T20:04:26","date_gmt":"2019-01-15T20:04:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.oconnorcpafirm.com\/blog\/?p=1312"},"modified":"2019-01-18T00:27:58","modified_gmt":"2019-01-18T00:27:58","slug":"day-7-2019-31-day-challenge-to-be-a-more-successful-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oconnorcpafirm.com\/blog\/2019\/01\/day-7-2019-31-day-challenge-to-be-a-more-successful-business\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 7:  2019 31 Day Challenge to be a more Successful Business"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>&nbsp;Dream Big\nwith no Censorship<\/li><li>Organize and Categorize<\/li><li>Add Action Items<\/li><li>Create a Mantra<\/li><li>Share your goals with Family and Friends<\/li><li>Identify Frustrations that keep you distracted<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that we have a clear idea of what we want to do and some\nidea of how to get there, it is time to commit to an appointment with yourself\nevery week to concentrate of your planning, strategizing, measuring,\nprioritizing so you stay on the most direct path to success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are all so busy, constantly distracted by the world where\neveryone is in constant contact through email or text and we transition from\none thing to another so often during the day, it surprises me that any of us\nget anything done in an expeditious manner.&nbsp;\nSo\u2026.it is time to commit.&nbsp; Make an\nappointment with yourself every week that you do not let anyone distract you\nfrom where you sit down and focus on where you are, what has been accomplished,\nwhat needs to be done and prioritize your list.&nbsp;\nFor me, I schedule 3 hours every Monday morning.&nbsp; It is in my calendar as my \u201cquarterbacking\u201d\ntime and I start every week with coming back to center.&nbsp; \u201cOK, where was I?&nbsp; What was it that I wanted to do last\nweek?&nbsp; What got accomplished?&nbsp; What are the 2 or 3 things I need to\nconcentrate on this week that will get me closer to my overall goal?\u201d&nbsp; In this way, I start the week off with\nrenewed commitment to what I said I wanted to get done.&nbsp; For others, Friday afternoon might be\nbest.&nbsp; The week is winding down and you\ncan take the time to check in on your status.&nbsp;\nI will allow for staff meetings to happen during my Monday Morning\nQuarterback appointments because a lot of what I want to accomplish in 2019\ninvolves delegating more tasks to my staff.&nbsp;\nAnd that time allows me to make sure they see my vision, how I want the\nfirm to work, how their participation is critical to my success, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schedule that time in your week.&nbsp; Make it a recurring appointment throughout\nthe remainder of the year and use that time to breath in, slow down, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; assess and redirect your energies toward the\ngoals and tasks that you have already identified as being those that give you\nthe most chance of achieving your lofty dreams and goals.&nbsp; You will be surprised at how valuable this\ntime will prove to be.&nbsp; How just an hour\nor 2 of focus will make your world seem like it has more order to it and in\nthat focus and order, you can accomplish great things<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;Dream Big with no Censorship Organize and Categorize Add Action Items Create a Mantra Share your goals with Family and Friends Identify Frustrations that keep you distracted Now that we have a clear idea of what we want to do and some idea of how to get there, it is time to commit to an [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[23,4,6,7],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.0 -
